Black Widow On My Front Porch
I used to find black widow nests on the fence posts out on the farm. They like tight little corners. I’m certainly not on the farm anymore but I still find these little creepies around my house.
Here’s one that’s currently living on my front porch up in the corner. (At least it’s living right at this moment but probably not much longer!) I noticed the web a few days ago because there was a big dark blob in it. Turns out, that blob was a palmetto bug the spider had for a BIG snack. Now she’s busy laying eggs.
Hiding in the corner of the web – this is where they usually are and you don’t see them. But those tell-tale egg sacs are a dead giveaway that it’s a black widow nest and momma is certainly in there.
Now she’s come out to either lay more eggs or check on her little darling’s progress.
Either way.. EEEEEWWWWWW!!!
Where’s the bug spray?
