I have a very odd plant growing in my backyard. I got a cutting of it from a friend of a friend some years back. No idea what it’s called.

Most of the time it just looks pretty sad and straggly. Just imagine this without the bloom. It’s no wonder I hide it in my lavender ‘hedge’.

But every so often, it pops out a truly beautiful white flower which unfortunately only lasts a day or two.

I had it all wrapped up this past winter because I wasn’t sure how the freeze would affect it. I managed to break off a few pieces while covering and uncovering it. So I put them into a small pot and now I have a couple more of my odd plants growing.

Here it is without any buds - it just keeps growing!
